Measuring Political Orientation
Measuring Political Orientation
- List parties voted for in the last: Rate how left or right these parties are.
- participants may not remember
- may have voted for one party to keep another out
- Ask individuals to rate themselves on a spectrum regarding their political orientation
- (This may not be entirely accurate as people do not always rate themselves accurately plus it has the problem of condensing a lot into a single scale.
- We could use an implicit personality orientation test (as in Graham et al).
